The Collins Christian Church site was a redesign of a site I had originally made for them on Wordpress. I transitioned the site to Squarespace for ease of maintenance on their end, and in the process of moving data, I redesigned the site from the ground up. I wanted the site to be unique and modern, so I decided to design the site to look modular. Incorporating self contained boxes that hold information and images, I used rounded corners and photo backgrounds to make the website feel like a collection of widgets and modular text blocks. One of my favorite parts about this site is that the navigation menu is not pinned to the header at the top like most sites; instead it lives in various places on the pages of this project.
